The Future of the SOAP API

SOAP API Going Forward

For the last 2-3 years no features have been added to the SOAP api, and only critical bugs have been fixed.

Going forward this will continue, and we are considering when the right time is to retire the SOAP api entirely. It is not a good idea to start new integrations on the SOAP api, and if possible existing integrations should be ported to REST.

To minimize the influx of new integrations using SOAP, the following restrictions have been put in place:

  • New developer agreements do not have access to SOAP.
  • Agreements created after 2018/7/1 do not have access to use the Connect method of SOAP and will have to use the ConnectWithToken.
